Sequels are tough to nail. Ones where the main character has died seem like maybe they should have just well-enough alone. That said, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is at least as good as the first Black Panther, though I was lukewarm on the first one anyways. The issues that I have with the sequel are just oddities. 1. Did we need more blue people? I mean, Avatar: The Way of Water comes out in a few weeks. 2. Did it need to be almost 3 hours long? 3. Don’t the bad guys die at the end? Is that just to set it up for yet another sequel?
I didn’t hate it but as I keep saying too often with recent movies, it could have been so much better.
