Documentaries are tricky. They can be fascinating or incredibly boring.
I have my own personal memory of a drive-in experience so I took a chance and watched At the Drive-In about another drive-in on the brink of collapse and how some die-hard movie fans rescued the theater in 2016 and it still lives today.
The personalities are diverse and these people love movies like I do, from the movies themselves to the technical aspects.
What a fun story with a happy ending!
…but, there’s even another happy ending that isn’t in the movie. A couple years ago a company wanted to demolish the place and put up a solar farm but the passion and pleas of the community convinced the corporation to scrap their plans and the drive-in lives on.
