The movie, Parasite, has shown people that it’s ok to watch Korean movies with subtitles. I’ve never been much of a foreign film kind of guy but I’ve never had much of an issue with subtitles. Train to Busan is another “Korean movies with subtitles”. It’s gotten some buzz lately because of its themes of a pandemic and quarantine. In the end, it’s a zombie movie but not the slow-moving zombies of Dawn of the Dead or The Walking Dead. These are the fast-moving zombies of World War Z.
Me?
I’m a big fan of the added chaos that the fast-moving zombies bring to a movie. It’s jarring because it’s not something that we see as often and it’s a game-changer. The story isn’t complex but it’s tense and very well done. The ideas of a class structure again come into play but differently than Parasite. If you are a fan of zombie movies and can do the subtitles thing, I highly recommend it.
