I want to like The Polar Express SO much but I just can’t. Tom Hanks and Robert Zemeckis seem to hit gold almost every time they collaborate. See Cast Away, Forrest Gump, etc. The Polar Express just doesn’t work for me. For all the technical achievement and animation, it just is hard for me to watch. The story is fine and though it’s a little corny at times, it works that way but I can’t bring myself to watch it “just for the fun of it”.
If you like it, great. No judgement, but it’s just not for me.
