Mystery movies are just that, a mystery. It’s the Forrest Gump line, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” The movies run the gamut of blah to great and everywhere in between.
For some inexplicable reason, this month’s host chose The Hudsucker Proxy, a movie that totally bombed when it came out in 1994, and for good reason.
3 things.
1. The Coen Brothers make some pretty bizarre movies.
2. Everyone has their own tastes and they’re entitled to that.
3. The Hudsucker Proxy just didn’t do it for me.
I think Raising Arizona and Blood Simple are absolute gems but this one just wasn’t my thing.
