I’m a big fan of horror/comedy movies and Cabin in the Woods fits firmly in that genre. I remembered a lot of it from the first time I saw it but I’m surprised at how much I missed. Sadly, that wasn’t a good thing. My memory of it was better than it came across this time. The comedy element was there from the beginning but it didn’t have the “knock you over the head” force of The Belko Experiment or Ready or Not or The Hunt. I guess I was hoping it would be better the second time around. Not so much.
