Horror-comedy is tricky to pull off. When done well, it’s really fun and entertaining. When done poorly, it’s just plain boring. Lots of them are usually PG-13, big mistake. Happy Death Day is an exception.
Thanksgiving is a nice entry into the genre. It’s not Ready or Not, but not much is. There’s some nice twists and a few legit thrills. It’s set up for a sequel so we’ll see what happens.
