Some movies deserve an annual viewing if only for nostalgia purposes. When the movie is as classic and funny as Planes, Trains and Automobiles, it’s pretty much a requirement. Though Thanksgiving 2020 is expected to be an outlier as holidays go, watching the hustle and bustle of Neal and Del trying to get home for Thanksgiving is always a treat and to anyone that can sit there and tell them that it’s a poor idea to not do everything they can to get home, well, that’s a concept I just can’t understand. What do you think John Candy’s character would have given for one more holiday with Marie? Now, tell me you wouldn’t do the same.
