What would happen if you dropped Peter Quill (Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy) and Peter Parker (the newest Spiderman) in Westeros with it’s magic and dragons and then toss in a “Weekend at Bernie’s” theme? If that sounds like a bit of an odd mash-up, you’ll start to get a feel for Onward.
It’s got a feel of family and an adventuresome quest to find a magic stone so that the boys can spend a few hours with their father. Some scenes may scare younger children but it’s a nice little movie for most ages. I am really amazed at the way animation looks so real at this point. There’s really something special about Pixar in 4K clarity. If you want to see what Disney looks like in 2020 then you might want to check it out.
