M. Night Shyamalan is a good director. He’s also a terrible director. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground. For me at this point, I go into one of his movies and expect it to be a dud. Sadly, most of them have been lately.

After first seeing the trailer for Old during the Superbowl, I was intrigued but cautious. Well, I’m happy to say that I really liked it. It’s far from perfect and it has the usual “big twist” near the end but this time, it actually kind of works.

Looks like I’ll be giving him another chance.
