Tom Cruise knows how to make movies. He’s not political and he’s seldom even controversial. He knows what entertains his audience and he does it well. Does he need to do his own crazy stunts? Probably not, but when you see his face in a close up of a crazy stunt, it brings a realism to it.
The plot isn’t much but it doesn’t need to be. It starts with a scene that isn’t in any trailers and by the time the opening credits start, 30 minutes in, you’re already well-invested in the movie.
It’s crisp and quick and some returning characters add to the fun of the movie.
Yes, it’s Part One, but Part Two comes out in less than a year and you can bet it’ll be more of the same crazy fun.
