I’ve heard nothing but good things about Instant Family form those who have seen it. It’s been over a year since it first came out but I finally took the time to see it. I liked it….didn’t love it. The cast is good and the story, which is based on real events, is good as well but it just seemed to be missing something or maybe it just tried too hard. I knew a family years ago that did foster care and adopted some of those children and it’s not an easy task, as shown in the movie. As tough as it must be for these parents raising foster kids, I can only imagine the challenge it must be for the kids themselves. It’s not a waste of time but just keep your expectations reasonable.
