Godzilla vs Kong is Exhibit A for most blockbuster movies to be seen in a theater and not on a TV screen, regardless of how big the screen is. It premiered on HBO Max and in theaters at the same time as a lot of movies are doing now and after seeing it on TV first, it was almost boring. I found myself nodding off during it. The plan was to make sure I saw it in a theater on a BIG screen and that’s what I did.
It’s a different movie!
The scope. The sound. The images. Godzilla. Kong.
I’m not the biggest Godzilla or King Kong guy but with the back-story that these “alphas” have, they made a reasonable story into a way to destroy Hong Kong and part of Florida. I think my favorite “fight” was the one on the boats. Another example of why it needs to be seen on a big screen.
