I had purchased tickets to see Gemini Man and Zombieland 2: Double Tap on the same day. (Yes, I like to do double-features sometimes.) I had been sick all weekend and I just didn’t know if I was going to make it to either one. I thought that I’d probably make it through Gemini Man so I went to the theater. The reviews for the movie were mixed at best but I intentionally had gotten my ticket to see it in HFR+ 3D. Let me just say that once you see a movie in High Frame Rate and in 3D, you’ll be spoiled for life. the picture quality was beyond anything I had ever seen before and it wasn’t even close. I actually enjoyed the movie as well and the concept of 2 Will Smiths worked relatively well.

I stumbled on Gemini Man on TV a few minutes after it started and decided to start it over and rewatch it from the beginning. The same flaws were still there and the picture, though good just couldn’t compare to the 3D High Frame Rate that I saw it in at the theater. That said, I think it got savaged unfairly as it’s better than a lot of other junk that gets put out there.
