Expectations are a weird thing. A good movie can leave a bitter taste in your mouth because it didn’t reach or exceed expectations that were too high. Alternatively, low expectations can elevate a movie that is better than you think it will be.
My expectations for Dune: Part Two were extremely high because of how much I enjoyed Dune. Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed. The story was complex and yet not impossible to follow, even though I’ve never read the book. The visuals, the acting, the story, the sound, every dollar of the budget was in brilliant IMAX on the screen.
Once again, the movie is close to 3 hours long but it’s worth every minute and if they make Part Three, I’ll be there early.
