Harrison Ford makes his second Jack Ryan movie and once again is a tough and aggressive CIA Analyst who ends up caught between the US government and a powerful Colombian drug cartel. It isn’t quite as dark as Patriot Games and there are some laugh out loud one-liners that break the tension. “’My’ chopper.”

Though this would be Harrison Ford’s final movie as Jack Ryan, he once again fills the role perfectly, surrounded by great supporting characters, good and bad guys alike.

Clear and Present Danger leaves him out on a limb at times but he puts his country and loyalty above all else when others try to muddy the lines. A nice wrap-up to the first trilogy of the Jack Ryan series.
