When you go to a Vin Diesel movie, you should know what you’re getting into. I’m not sure he has a shelf set aside for future Oscars. Also, the easiest job in Hollywood has got to be the costume designer for his movies. A stack of wife-beaters and t-shirts with the sleeves cut off and you’re pretty much set. Even with decreased expectations, it’s possible for his movies to be disappointing and Bloodshot was for me. An interesting premise comes across as confusing and frankly, just uninteresting. I read a review that said that “Bloodshot just aims to be violent, action-packed, and ultimately forgettable.” Not sure I could put it any better than that. Even a second viewing didn’t quite improve it.
