I came into the screening with no knowledge of what the story or concept of the movie was. That made everything in the first 2/3 of the movie really confusing. I’ll acknowledge that by the end the concept of “bliss” finally came through but I was so unimpressed by this point that even the final revelation couldn’t shake it completely. It was nice to see Owen Wilson in a role that is different than what he usually plays and Salma Hayek is always great. I really wanted to like it and recommend it but I just can’t.
