Synopsis and Details
A fast-paced action thriller about a rookie cop who inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.

I go to a movie almost every Saturday. Once in a while I’ll go on another day of the week also, but almost every Saturday, you’ll find me at a matinee somewhere. There are weeks that the options are just really thin so I do my best to find something off-beat or something that I hope might be interesting. This weekend in October 2019 just didn’t have much to offer so I took a chance on Black and Blue. I was concerned it was going to be a strong political movie pushing certain themes and agendas. I found it to be something a little different than that. Though race was a major theme in the movie, it didn’t push a specific viewpoint. It was a solid cop movie with some really good acting.
