Ok, let’s make one thing really clear before I put my thoughts out there…I am not the target demo for Birds of Prey. I like the Marvel and even DC Universes but I have other favorites. I know that sounds like heresy to some but I’m entitled to my opinion just like you are entitled to yours. (Thus, this is MY web site. Feel free to make your own!)
About 2 weeks ago I finally got around to seeing Suicide Squad and though it had its merits, I can see why it wasn’t such a hit. I can also see why they chose to continue the story of Harley Quinn. She’s an interesting and complex character and truly one suited for her own movie. It takes a while for the Birds (as in all of them) to get together but I thought that was the best part of the movie. It’s over the top and I think exactly what the filmmakers wanted it to be. Be warned, there’s real “bathroom” humor in this movie. If you’re a fan of these kinds of movies, I think you’ll really like it. The rest of us…it’s good.
