When making my list of movies to catch up on, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil wasn’t on my radar. I had heard of it before but knew nothing about it other than a strange title. What brought it to my attention is my go-to podcast these days, Movies.Over.Easy. If you aren’t currently subscribing to it, why not? During this 4th quarantine episode, Mr. Z, Frank and Paul each gave 5 movies/TV shows to catch up on or check out. One of Paul’s selections was Tucker and Dale vs. Evil.
After going over my list, a comedy/horror seemed like the way to go. So, what did I think of it? Well, it’s pretty much exactly what it tried to be. It was goofy and bizarre and way over the top but it was an entertaining way to spend 90 minutes. It’s not a movie that everyone will enjoy and it’s one that you kinda just need to be in the mood for but if you want something light-hearted with a fair amount of comic book type violence, give it a shot.
