The Fast and Furious movies jumped the shark a long time ago. Now I think the premise is to try to find something so over the top that it’s even more outrageous than the previous movie. The scene near the end of Fast X may or may not accomplish that, depending on your point of view. Seriously, it’s hard to beat a car in space!
I’m not a Vin Diesel fan and I was actively hoping that Jason Momoa would actually “win”. Momoa is easily the best part of the movie. There’s also a few scenes in the beginning with Paul Walker that are actually really well-done and add to the story. Of course, there’s way too many characters in the movie so giving each of them time is a struggle.
I’ll give it an extra star because I saw it at a Drive-In on a perfectly beautiful Saturday night so it’s really hard to complain about any of it.
