When a movie says that it’s coming from the same people that brought you Ready or Not, you get your hopes up. Dangerous as that might be because it’s hard to compete with a movie so bloody funny as Ready or Not.
Abigail is played for straight horror for the first third of the movie and then it drops it’s first of many inside jokes and then the game is on and it’s an all-out horror-comedy the rest of the way.
Reviews have talked about the amount of blood used for the movie and it’s no joke. Lots of blood…everywhere. It’s not as good as Ready or Not but it’s a solid movie for its genre.
