I made plans with a friend to see the new Guy Ritchie movie. Problem is, there’s 2 of them. Fortunately, only 1 is out right now. The other one, The Covenant, comes out in a few weeks. It led to some confusion initially but we ended up seeing a Guy Ritchie movie…and a good one at that.
The story was solid and the characters were just what you would expect. Hugh Grant was exceptionally over the top and Josh Hartnett may have been my favorite performance. Aubrey Plaza was great as were all the supporting characters. It was just a really fun and enjoyable movie.
It set up what could be a franchise but according to the media, the marketing kinda messed things up so it didn’t do well at the box office and so may not get a chance for more. That’s really too bad.
