I had my expectations in check when I went to see Freaky. As much as I hoped it could be another Ready or Not or Happy Death Day or The Hunt, it just wasn’t. It just seemed forced. Even the R Rating seemed like something that was decided at the last minute and a little extra language and innuendo bumped it up to an R. It was Freaky Friday with a silent Friday. There were parts that I really liked but other parts just didn’t quite work.

The ending(s). It does bother me when something totally out of the blue “saves the day”. Not that it can’t happen, but it needs to be set up beforehand.

I know, it sounds like I’m ripping it apart but as with so many movies, it had such great potential.
